Last night’s GMG laptop session went well. The resident experts, Ian Dickson from Likal and Chris Garrett from Podchains, led the conversations ranging from social networking to suburban love affairs. Everyone agreed that they’d come away from the evening feeling enlightened in one way or another.

The good people at Podchains Ltd. have set-up a new blog for all news creative in the Gloucestershire area. It’s called….Creative Gloucestershire (surprisingly) and it’s a good resource for keeping up to date with what’s going on in the region.

For those of you that don’t think there’s much in the way of social media groups in the area, take a look at the GMG website. They organise events, workshops and various other media related extravaganzas for the Gloucestershire region. I went to my first workshop last night at the Cheltenham film studios and made some great contacts, including an up-and-coming pair of web video and motion graphics gurus based near Bristol called BexMedia.
