Live-Streaming for Facebook
On monday I was at The Barbican Centre in central London, where Facebook London were hosting a special Developer’s Garage. Speakers included many of facebook’s top dogs with Mark Zuckerberg making an appearance and answering some audience questions. I was live-streaming the event through Newspepper to an online audience. If you want to see the talks, go here.

In an earlier post I wrote about the merits of a new online magazine for the creative industry called Creative Boom. They have numerous branches around the country and I was recently asked for an interview by the London outpost, Creative Boom London. No commentsCreative Boom
A month or two ago I discovered an interesting new venture called ‘Creative Boom‘. Started by Boomerang PR founder Katy Cowan and her husband in 2009, it is an online magazine dedicated to serving the creative industries in the UK and beyond. Essentially it is a hub, where creatives can keep track of the latest news, network, apply for jobs and have the chance to be featured on the site. It has quickly gained momentum through the setting up of Creative Boom hubs in numerous towns and cities around the country, including Cheltenham and London. Studiome will be featured in Creative Boom London’s directory soon which could lead to client acquisition and just as importantly, collaborations with other creative businesses. With the introduction of Boomtique, an online T-shirt design and distribution site, the future looks promising. Hats off to them.
Travel Mole
I spent yesterday evening covering a Question Time style debate about the effects of technology on the future of the travel industry, conducted by TravelMole.com. The short video will be up on their site soon so if you’re interested then take a look.
